Random

First up: this squirrel devouring the head of a sunflower I tossed in the fire pit.  I didn't think there was anything left to eat after the goldfinches had it.

Next: turkeys in the field behind us. Heading to munch on fallen apples.

A new mown field.

Color in the trees.

And a cow in the field up the road.

Remnants of Montreal Olympic Games

Montreal hosted the Summer Olympic Games in 1976.  A massive stadium was built and is still standing. It's across the street from the gardens we visited and since we had all day parking paid for we headed over there hoping to go up to the observation deck.

There would have been quite a view from up there but it was closed for renovations. The Canadian Football team the Alouettes play in the stadium and we think we saw one of their practices on the field outside.

We headed up to Mount Royal which provided this view of the city and stadium.

Doesn't it look like a flying saucer has landed in Montreal?

China Garden at Jardin Botanique de Montreal

Walking through the China Garden we were transported back to Shanghai in 2010 where we visited an extensive garden.

The day was gray.  I bet these structures would look so much better in sunlight.

Books Read

It's been awhile since I've updated my Books Read 2022.  See link below.  I realized this when I entered my 50th book read in my journal.  I'm not reading as many books as I have in the past and I'm not sure why.

Anyway if you are a reader check out the list here or below.

And just for a chuckle here is one of several recently sent to me by my friend Marilyn.
