Vegetable Gardening

See that milk jug - it's a mini greenhouse.  Granddaughter #1 and I planted 5 of these with different seeds following the directions posted here.  I forgot to note when we first planted but may have been late March or early April.
We planted lettuce, basil, cilantro, cosmos and marigolds.  Everything has sprouted.

The lettuce was the first to sprout so I took some out and planted them in my new raised bed. (Got it last fall but this is the first planting.)

This is a photo from last week.

I also have snowpeas planted at two different times.

I may put in a couple of tomato plants. TBD.

On Sunday here's how the raised bed looked.

2nd seeding of snow peas has spouted.

We had someone bring us top soil to fill it then we topped if off with compost from our compost bin. This means I have squash or pumpkins sprouts.  Granddaughter wants to transplant them to her garden.

Lettuce from the milk jug looks almost ready to pick.

Directly seeded lettuce is not far behind.

Here are the other jugs.

Cilantro I think.

Marigold

Basil?

Cosmos which needs transplanting.

And look at how green we are.  It was mown Saturday morning for the first time before the rains came.

Barbara R - in answer to your question about the dryer vent coiled piping.  It was a snake at the May Day Rally to represent the serpent that tRump is.  At least that was my take.  Dan got to carry the head when we marched around the green at the end of the rally.
