Our Trip to Quebec, Canada - Part 2B Ste. Flavie and Part3A Gaspe, Quebec

A must have while in Canada is poutine.  This is my sacrifice one lunch at Dixie Lee on our way to Gaspe from Ste. Flavie.  Dan had his on another travel day.

I couldn't eat all of this - besides French fries, cheese curds, and gravy there were pieces of chicken.

Ste. Flavie Pier

Notice the flannel shirt on Dan.  It was a very cool morning with a brisk wind when we went to check out the pier.

Notice the rocks that support the pier now.  Once upon a time it was wooden with pilings but a major storm removed it.

The wind came along and took Dan's hat flying down into those rocks.  It's a special hat - purchased in Finland in 2016.  He was not going to give up on it so he climbed down the rocks.  He got it as you can see below.

A last look at the statues before saying good bye to Ste. Flavie.

A panorama with statues marching into the St. Lawrence.

Part 3A - On to Gaspe on Sunday June 29th.

We had overcast skies and some rain for this portion of the drive.

Despite the heavy clouds it was a beautiful drive.
Every time we came to a river coming into the St. Lawrence there would be another town.

Arriving in Gaspe, here is the sign for our bed and breakfast.

And the steps up to it.  Fortunately there was a parking lot around the back side.

This is a photo of the original house now the private residence of the owners and the breakfast room of the BnB.

The best room yet of all we stayed in.

A short walk brought us to this important spot.

Part 3B to come.
