Almost Home

Sitting in the Toronto airport having flown here from Athens today. We are waiting for our flight to Boston. We wish that Road Scholar had booked us directly from Boston to Athens and return. Discovered there was such a flight when we met a couple from Boston on this trip. I don’t know why I didn’t make that query when Road Scholar booked our flight. I’ll know if there’s ever a next time.

Since my last Postcard we have seen some awesome ancient sites. Here is a just a teaser or two.

Akrotiri on Thera also known as Santorini

In Turkey there was Ephesus

In Kos we visited an ancient hospital, Asklepios

Much more to come in weeks ahead.

You've brought back such wonderful memories. We've told friends that Turkey is one of our very favorite trips.

Welcome home...there's nothing like unpacking, getting groceries, doing the laundry, and being in your own home environment again. I bet you're looking at lots of gardening projects too! Can't wait to see more trip photos!

Welcome back and I agree with you that a direct flight is always preferable. Looks like you had nice weather that was not to hot to go sightseeing.
