AWOL or MIA

Just had a visit from my sister, Bonnie and her husband, Joseph.  They brought blue sky weather with them.  Of course today, Saturday it's now cloudy again.

Sorry to have missed visiting your blogs but life has been busy with company here.

Here is the view from French's Ledges in Plainfield, NH looking southwest toward Mt. Ascutney.

And look at the color here at this brook as it heads over a falls.

I'll be back soon.

p.s. the saga of the no show painter continues! He came Thursday for less than 4 hours and no show Friday with no word until late afternoon and no apology for missing a beautiful day to paint. He "promised" to come at 10:30 today but at 1:30 no sign of him. I want to fire him now but Dan wants to wait until the 17th which is when he said he'd be done.

Gorgeous colors! Have fun and please don't worry about the blog. We all have another life to live too. I'm sorry about your painter. We have a fencing contractor who kind of disappeared too.

Nature seems to be painting even if your actual painter isn't.

I've heard of some businesses that offer a "bonus" if the work is completed early and done properly....

Sounds like the guy that gave us a quote to build the deck. I'll be there this spring. The end of July. Now not answering our calls. If you're not going to do it just say so.

Looks like you had some wonderful outings with family members visiting. I smile when I read the reference to Plainfield, NH, as my hometown is Plainfield, NJ. Your theme song could be "One Day the Painter Will Come" which unfortunately isn't humorous in the least given your situation with the contractor. Do keep us posted.
