A Question

So here's the question for all you fellow bloggers:

If something were to happen to you and you couldn't blog to tell us, how would your readers know?

In my case I told my husband he would have to write something on my blog.  He says he'll likely not be around and I'd better ask one of our daughters to do it.

This has come to mind because John of By Stargoose and Hanglands hasn't posted anything since July 31st.  I posed the question to him in a comment within the last month asking if he was ok and my comment didn't even show up.

I know others of you have read and commented on his blog, so I wondered if you knew anything about John.

Photos by the Granddaughter

I gave my camera to my granddaughter to take photos on Sunday.  Though she didn't always have them in focus she captured the colors of the season.

She even took my picture.

Another Wednesday Walk

My Wednesday walking group met last week to walk in the woods close to our host's house. Here are just four views from that day.

An old stone wall.

the trail in the woods.

A dry creek bed falling down the hill.

Returning to our start.

One of the members turned back early and assured us that she knew the way.  When we returned to our cars, her car was still there.  No sign of her.  We almost were at the point of retracing our steps or calling 911 when one person drove down the road and came upon Penny.  She'd gotten lost and came out at another point.  Apparently she's done this before so it was resolved to never let her travel alone.

Today we are going a bit farther away for a nice hike around a lake and then lunch.

New Puzzle

With cold weather here a puzzle appears that I work on a little bit at a time.

I've sorted two colors, brown and blue, into bowls and will do those last.

I put a quarter down to show you the puzzle piece size.  I wish they were bigger.  1000 of them and I'll handle all of them to get this done.
