Amaryllis News

Back in the Fall I put my one pot of amaryllis in the basement to die back.  It was full of bulbs but none of them flowered at all in 2025.

The last week of the year I got new potting soil and brought the pot of amaryllis up to repot.  I decided it made sense to separate the bulbs and  so I found several pots and two glass jars to put them in.  I placed them on the kitchen windowsill and on a tray by my sliding door.  All in southern exposures.

Now two weeks after doing this, I have green shoots from just about all of them.

This was the original pot so I left the largest bulb in it.

Maybe I'll have some blooms!
