Snowy Views from the Car

Connecticut River is frozen.

Mount Ascutney is white spot.

Postscript: just learned we have lost a blogger to cancer.  See Granny Sue's News for more news of the death of John of By Stargoose and Hanglands.  Cancer has taken another wonderful soul.  My condolences to Sue and Les, John's brother and walking partner.

Beautiful snow scenes! It rarely snows here in Nara though we’re chilled to the bone these weeks.
I was concerned about John. His photography, creativeness and narrative tone in his blog are sorely missed.

It seems to me that it has been a very cold winter.

...the snow is beautiful, but the blue skies are gorgeous.

I also will miss John's colorful well documented blog...as well as the person who wrote it. Thanks to Sue for posting the news. I've got so many blogs which just seem to disappear, and I do wonder why. If I'm unable to blog for a few months, I've a goodbye blog already pre-dated to let you know I'm gone, which is perhaps a vanity that I think someone would care. But I don't know anyone personally who could do that for me (not virtual friends, but real ones who don't blog.)

We have a lot more snow on the ground than you do but everything here is frozen solid also.

The pics are beautiful but it looks very cold. I'm a warm weather girl myself preferring spring and autumn 😄
