Located at Pier 21, the building that once served as the point of entry to Canada for immigrants is now telling the story of immigration.
A mock up of the Pier buildings.
Times have changed for immigration to Canada as evidenced by the movie shown there where immigrants of many nationalities and backgrounds shared their experiences.
One eye opener for us was our taxi driver, Sam who arrived as a child from Occupied Palestine by way of Saudi Arabia . He told us the family first visited New York then came to Canada. He asked his dad why he selected Canada and his dad said "Two reasons. No guns and universal health care."

Sam's dad was a wise man.
...immigration makes a country stronger!!!
Great museum to visit, and to consider how so many Canadians of today had ancesters who passed through there!
What an interesting museum. And what to take in your trunk...when that's all you can take! That's hard. Have a good weekend!
