Another Wednesday Walk

My Wednesday walking group met last week to walk in the woods close to our host's house. Here are just four views from that day.

An old stone wall.

the trail in the woods.

A dry creek bed falling down the hill.

Returning to our start.

One of the members turned back early and assured us that she knew the way.  When we returned to our cars, her car was still there.  No sign of her.  We almost were at the point of retracing our steps or calling 911 when one person drove down the road and came upon Penny.  She'd gotten lost and came out at another point.  Apparently she's done this before so it was resolved to never let her travel alone.

Today we are going a bit farther away for a nice hike around a lake and then lunch.

Looks like a beautiful place to hike with friends. So glad you found the lost hiker. Enjoy today's hike as well.

Great to have friends to walk with...but your lost one does need to stop going off on her own!

It looks like your fall colors are getting started. What a wonderful time of year for a hike in the woods.
