My Mom visited overnight and she helped clean the beans. She's a lovely 94 year old!

Enjoying Beans
The green beans are producing. They are the bush variety and loaded. I picked only what we could eat Thursday evening but will have to get out there to pick more or they'll get too fat. I also picked basil and there was one Rutgers tomato. More hornworms discovered too but they didn't go in this basket!

When I eventually get around togrowing some herbs then basil would be top of my list. Tomatoes and basil mmmmm. Your Mum looks good, pleased to see you keep her busy! Thanks for your comments on my blog.
Hi Marcia It was lovely to see your Mum and at 94 years young. I see she is still keeping busy, I am sure that is one of the secrets to longevity. Have a great weekend. Margaret
Basil is very easy to grow. Not a perennial though like some of the other herbs.
Well, she was to stay two nights but only managed one. I took her home (90 miles away) yesterday morning. She did too much here she said. She lives in assisted living now and has become dependent upon the care they provide for her. It was good to have her here short as it was.
What a gorgeous Mom you have, Marcia. She is beautiful and looks so healthy to be 94.... God Bless her...
Your beans looks so so so good. Wish I had a good market around here to get some fresh veggies. We finally found some good tomatoes --but not much of anything else yet.
Hugs,
Betsy
