First, I need to show off this pistachio birthday cake. No, I didn't make it. A friend made it for his wife's 65th birthday and brought it to our house as his contribution for dessert. It was luscious.
Wednesday I spent the morning making three birthday cards. We have three February birthdays in the family.
In the first week of February are birthdays for Granddaughter #1 who is turning 12,
and followed in three days by Granddaughter #4. When I asked her on Tuesday during FaceTime storytime how old she will be she said seven! Then she said four and tried to put up her thumb and three fingers. I showed her how to just hold up four fingers and fold in her thumb.
The second week of February my son in law, Matt has a birthday. He'll be 45!

You remind me that JJ has a birthday coming up early in February.
That looks quite some cake. Hope it tasted as good as it looks.
...Marcia, you are giving Hallmark a run for the money!
Lovely cards!
LOVE how the strawberries are cut to look like hearts! Cute cards. Linda in Kansas
The cards match the cake for charm and creativeness, but I bet the cake tastes better!
You are so talented! The cards are lovely.
And that cake, wow...
Your cards are wonderful! Homemade cards are a real treasure to receive. I'm sure everyone must love getting them. The cake is impressive! Such a pretty one and how lovely the husband made it for his wife and then brought it for you to put on the buffet table.
The cake looks delicious as well as pretty! Your handmade cards are lovely, a true expression of love.
