We had more than 6 inches of snow on Saturday night into Sunday. It’s lovely out there though windy today making short whiteouts as the wind picks up the snow from trees and roofs.
Our green barn stands out against the white.
Our windows on the south side have ice awnings.
Later today these will be falling with a loud thump.
Below are photos from Sunday morning.
In other news I called the Washington offices of my Congressional Representative and my Senators. I got voice mail at the Rep's office with instructions to leave a message. But I got humans at the Senators' offices where I voiced my outrage at the direction of this Republican administration and the turmoil it has brought to our country. It brought me to tears saying this to them especially because some of the actions are directly impacting a family member. (Sorry, I can't elaborate more than that here.)
The number of phone calls our Congressional delegations get make a difference. I strongly urge you to make the calls to yours today.

...thanks for sharing your winter wonderland.
Lovely photos of your surroundings in the snow. So glad you've been voicing your opposition to your legislators. THank you.
Looks like you had a few more inches than we did in Nashua, NH, where the estimates called for up to 8 inches, but we had about about 5 inches total.
Oh my gosh, what beautiful snow photos and I love your green barn, and the cardinal at your bird feeder. Gorgeous! As for you phoning your representatives and senators, I am applauding heartily. Thank you! I am very sorry you have a family member impacted by all of this.
What a lovely winterland you have. The snow awnings are impressive. Glad they know when to thump down. That's a good idea to call our Reps and Senators. I'm not sure how much it will help, but it could diminish our feeling of helplessness a bit. One sibling words over 20 years for AID and risked his life many times to help others have water or a home. Another relative may lose her job. It's horrid. Linda in Kansas
We have a lot of snow around, but we haven't had that one big dumping yet. There is a forecast for a good fall tomorrow. We shall see. Glad you and others are being politically active.
