Wednesday Walk and Cast Off

With Wednesday's appointment to have the cast removed and first OT appointment, I opted to do my own walk from home.

With the rain earlier in the week stream was very full.

Thankfully roads were no longer muddy.

The above and below are an old cellar, now overgrown.

This wall runs along this stream.  I wonder if it was a mill race.

This is the Grange Hall.  I've never seen it open.

The former schoolhouse is now the Mason's Hall.

These forsythia look like mine with

flowers along the bottom edges only. Mine are below.

And here's the cast off and a new support that I remove to exercise and bathe.

The prognosis is by July 4th I will have regained full use.

...the reason that your forsythia have flowers only on the bottom is because the flower buds were kill this past winter. Forsythia is hardy, but some varieties have tender flower buds. Check out these varieties ‘Meadowlark’‘Northern Sun’‘Northern Gold’‘New Hampshire Gold’‘Vermont Gold’

It is better to have a cast off than to be a castoff.
