What can be done with a good snow?

 Build an igloo.

That was on Saturday.  By Monday afternoon it became a cave.

We didn’t have enough snow from the weekend storm, but your granddaughters certainky had a great time, Marcia, and reminded me of when my brother and myself did the same in iur backyard.

...this hasn't been the case here.

That was quite the undertaking. I could excavate one in our front yard, for the snow is already deep enough.

Very nicely done there! Getting the right snow, and having a day to build...just a great job!

That's an impressive igloo. Our snow had gone by the time the children returned from school so no construction of snowmen or igloos was possible.

Great job. There must be some Inuit blood in the family!
