Cookbook Book Club

Two local libraries are co-sponsoring a cookbook book club.  We read the same cookbook, try some recipes, and gather for a potluck to share.

Our first book.

Has anyone read and tried any recipes from this?

Our first meeting will be February 22nd.

These are some recipes I've marked so far that I want to try.

It's all vegetarian and gathered from 5 regions of the world where people are known to live long lives: Sardinia (Italy), Okinawa (Japan), Nicoya (Costa Rica), Ikaria (Greece) and Loma Linda (CA, US).

The book club and then pot luck sounds like an interesting twist and a delicious one as well. I am not familiar with the cookbook you showed here, and am trying to cut down on some of mine, so many recipes to try😋

I love the idea of a cookbook club. Sounds interesting and fun. The recipes you have selected sound like good ones. Let us know how they turn out.

I love this idea but how many copies does your library have? We are a very small library. I am not sure this would work for us. But I sure love the idea.

Great choices. I'm not familiar with that author/chef.

I seem to do the old recipes over and over again, but there is a fair space between them, so it works out well enough.
