Readers, Welcome to my blog (formerly Birds, Blooms, Books, etc). I'm entering a new decade taking on the challenge of moving from Maryland after living there 46 years and learning about my new home here in New England in the Live Free or Die state - New Hampshire. Join me as a write this new chapter of my life.
...I think that most of the color that we have is drought induced. I went to the market last and bought some Ginger Gold apples and this week I made a grape pie with grape that I canned last year.
We have bits of color here and there. Your apples and pie look delicious. We try to get apple picking with our grand and I make at least one pie after. Cathy
Yes to fall and apples, Marcia, and a couple of ones we bought last weekend were baked as an after dinner treat last night. That pie does look good and beat it tastes even better😋
Oh I've got just tinges of color happening, and apple orchards are selling nice fresh apples here too! Drooling over your pie, and amazed to hear about grape pie from Tom. New one for me.
There is a little colour starting to appear in the trees here, but I think that it is due, at least in part, to the trees having been stressed by lack of water over the summer.

Had one for my birthday in lieu of cake. There will be more for Thanksgiving (mid October) if not before.
A beautiful pie! It's finally cool enough to think about baking stuff.
I can’t wait to get some good apples when we head to the mountains next week! You have some beauties there and that pie looks lovely.
