It was about 4 o'clock one afternoon when this doe and her growing fawn ambled through the backyard.
Didn't know I was feeding more than just birds.
The fawn was bolder and came right up to the deck before it got spooked and ran down into the glen.

You have a wonderful backyard! Great birds and that picture of the doe standing behind the feeder is priceless! What a nice place to live.
Great shots of your backyard wildlife! It looks like you live on the forest edge?
A Fawn at the feeder....now that's not something you see very often! How cool!
Great pictures of the woodpecker - and I dont even mind that you let a mammal get into WBW!!
Cheers and thanks for lining to WBW.

Very nice bird and deer visitors to your feeder...I love when the deer come as well~
Thanks for stopping by. We love it here.
The forest edge is the edge of the glen at the bottom of which is a small stream which joins another larger stream in our wetlands and from there joins Ben's Run which empties into the Patapsco River which empties into the Chesapeake Bay! Thanks for stopping by.
Every couple of years I see them visit. Mostly they go for whatever is green and during the growing season I religiously spray with Liquid Fence to keep them away from what I what growing and blooming. Thanks for coming by.
This time of year I like to see them come through. Growing season they may walk through but the smell of Liquid Fence that I spray keeps them going rather than stopping. I'd have nothing growing if I didn't spray.
I miss seeing that!
Love the bird seed eatin' deer! What a fun pic.
