We were told of a place where you can see lots of bald eagles by the waitress after the male above flew away. So we drove to the spot and spied this one sitting on the flag pole where he belongs. I guess its really a light pole.
This heron was watching him too.
The loons below were caught on camera a Lake Beauvert in Jasper National Park.
Okay so the rest of these aren't birds but they were fun to photograph.
Seal in the harbor at Prince Rupert, BC.
Moose on the roadside in BC.
Elk shedding in Jasper National Park. It was calving season.

Wow, awesome collection of birds and critters. Thanks for sharing, have a great day!
The eagle is magnificent and the rest of the "creatures" are very interesting also. Are the elk? and why does one have a collar on?
BEAUTIFUL pictures. How cool to see all that wildlife. I've never seen a Bale Eagle in person, much have been pretty spectacular. Thanks for sharing!
There is an elk with a collar. It was in Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada. I assume the track the wildlife. I guess I should put labels under the animals. I'll do that now.
Wow Marcia.... Great pictures not only of the birds but also the other wildlife you saw in BC. That Bald Eagle is gorgeous --one of my fav's... Thanks for sharing.
Hugs,
Betsy
It's funny how that bald eagle appeared because I had said to Dan that day that the bald eagle was next on my list to see since I'd seen the bears, moose, elk and others. We were at dinner in front of a big picture window and the people at the table across the aisle said look at that eagle. There it was just waiting to be photographed.
Great photos. It must have been an exciting trip to see all of those animals. Thanks for sharing.
Isn't Canada an incredible place to travel?? Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
How exciting to see a bald eagle - and how nice of the waitress to tell you where to see more! The other photos are fabulous, too. I really like the big horn sheep with those mountains in the background. Amazing sights!
Wonderful wildlife series!
Great shots!
