Red Sky

Monday's sunset.  We rarely see these but when we do we enjoy them.

Rain or snow showers coming overnight.

Visitors

I have a feeder right outside the window over my desk. Between the birds and squirrels feeding there, it empties fast.  In fact it needs refilling now as I write this on a rainy Saturday morning.

The gray squirrel in the neighborhood is the most determined to feed there.

The red squirrel feeds from the ground..

Chickadees and Titmouse fly back and forth continually.

Below I captured this bird on the feeder in the backyard.  I thought at the time it was a starling but looking at it now I'm not sure. David G - help, please?

Now For Something Entirely Different

I came across this Ted Talk on Thursday morning.  I found it incredibly interesting as someone who has been retired 12.5 years now.  With Covid and moving to a new locale I have had to rethink my phase 4 but I'm managing well.

See what you think.  HERE

Tree Decorating

We have a slender fake tree that I purchased when we lived in the retirement community apartment in Columbia. The box had to fit in our storage space in the basement so this tree fit that qualification. When we moved here there was no reason to get a bigger tree though granddaughter #1 asked why we didn't have a real tree.  She accepted my explanation as reasonable and made the observation we didn't have to spend money on a tree each year.  Good point!

She started helping me decorate it on Tuesday evening.  I finished it on Wednesday afternoon.
