What Is This?

Spotted along the roadside as we toured British Columbia in 2012.
Anyone ever seen it before and know what it's supposed to be?
It was huge.

I'm not sure what it is, but I really don't want one in my garden!

I was back in the UK for a work trip, which I extended for a week given that the company had paid for my flight!!

A gnome! What a sight he must've been! I've always wanted to visit B.C.

I've missed keeping up this summer, Marcia. Hope you are well!
