More US Presidents - Part 2

As I said in the previous post, the Portrait Gallery has an exhibit of US Presidents' portraits that are not the official portraits.  It's interesting to see what these men looked like.  It's also interesting to read about what they accomplished in office; not much for most of them according to a book my husband recently read.

It's unlikely you'll be able to name these guys so I'll label them for you.  There will be some to guess from the 20th century.

8. Martin Van Buren

9.  William Henry Harrison

10. John Tyler

11. James Polk

12. Zachary Taylor

13.  Millard Fillmore

15. James Buchanan

This one is recognizable I'm sure: 16. Abraham Lincoln

As a Canadian, I am proud that I recognized quite a few of them.

Funny Polk and his wife were in the news last week as we drove through Tennessee.
