Saturday

Granddaughter #2 had her eighth birthday this week and the birthday party for her friends is today.

She asked her Papa to hang the pinata from our maple tree.

It will be in pieces later this afternoon.

I have had two pots of this geranium variety on my front porch all summer.  I'd like to have it next year, too so thought I'd try rooting some stems.

Five jars and five stems.

They are sitting on the guest room chest of drawers, not in direct sun, but where there is a southern exposure.

Wish me luck.

Happy Birthday #2
Good Luck with your cuttings... I've never tried in water... this time I used rooting powder and had mixed success.. I will watch your results with interest

Miriam roots stems every year and it always works. I am sure that yours will do well.

Happy 8th birthday. The time just flies by. I'm sure you will have success with your cuttings. You seem to have green fingers.

Oh fun, a piñata! I hope your cuttings do well. I often bring the whole plant inside. Sometimes they make it through the winter.

My 2 year old geranium is hanging in there, but I didn't think to start new plants. I've got 2 starts of the giant leaved coleus, though why I don't know! It's forever until spring.
