Lovettsville, VA Church

We stopped in this town on the way home from Appomattox, VA last weekend.  My husband's maternal grandmother was a Lovett.  We don't know how the town got its name or the connection to her family.  I'll have to do some digging.

Somehow, it looks like a very SENSIBLE church. Love the tower!

A lovely church that is similar to several in this area.

Hi Marcia, I am impressed with the beautiful old architecture, with a style that I see in many churches today. You definitely need to do a search on the Lovetts. No doubt you will uncover some fascinating family history.

By the way, I was just exploring some of your last posts. I love the red shoe!

I thought for a start it was the church building that was so old but it's the congregation. A good church for a good congregation.
