First Frost

Frost happened here on Saturday morning.

Basil

Impatiens

Dahlia

Coleus

Sweet potato plant

And in other news, Thursday, brought new carpet to our front room - a multi purpose space with our TV, my desk and card crafting center, futon for overflow guests, and puzzle table.

Below shows it cleared out in preparation for installation.

Notice how wood goes in two different directions?  This space long ago was two separate rooms. A poor repair job on the floor years ago and gaps between boards helped us decide to just carpet it. Now it looks like one room.

We even had them put in a mat at the door.  Though it's the front door we regularly use the door on the side of the house.

There is even an 11 x 5 feet remnant of the carpet we will have bound and granddaughter #1 will replace her old rug in her bedroom with it.

It looks like a lovely carpet and what a great idea to have the mat installed at the same time.

WHat a pretty neutral color to tie the area all together. Good choice, in my humble opinion!

Oh sorry you got frost I escaped it the past two days. We are in a bit of a hollow so a bit protected. I will cover a few things tonight though.
