You know that library on the border with New Brunswick? It straddles the border, and both countries used it. Well, the Rumpies just closed the entrance to Canadians.

Fun 60: I would be lost without my library. Hope lots of people support the libraries.

If there is a greater sign of decay in a country I am not sure what it is. Closing libraries should be anathema to every thinking person. But then again, Trump has probably never read a book. Libraries go far beyond that today, however, becoming a true focal point in a community, offering many outreach and educational services. For poor communities they are especially important.

I share David's view that the orange one has probably never read a book. Libraries have been an easy target for cost-cutting this side of the pond for years. The good news is that people who really care about them have banded together in many places where they faced closure and have continued to run them with volunteers on behalf of their communities.

What next indeed! I think of all the students who rely on these libraries, those who have limited means and who have no access to their own computers. Our community library was full of these students studying hard. A sad state of affairs. I feel like we are a ship that has lost sight of land. Well, I guess the kids of billionaires don't have to worry do they? Shame on them!
