Welcome reader to my blog - a mixture of this and that. Now that we are living in a retirement community in downtown Columbia, MD my personal gardening activities are somewhat curtailed. I still enjoy visiting gardens, reading, watching wildlife on my walks, traveling, and occasional food commentary. Please leave a comment if you feel inspired to do so. I read every one of them.

Harvest Monday

First tomato, albeit a very small Rutgers.
I also had broccoli and lots of basil this last week.
There are banana and jalapeno peppers that I will harvest once I can use them.
Bush beans should not be too far off. Garlic almost ready to pull to dry.

Other harvests at Daphne's Dandelions.

A tomato, no matter how small, when harvested from your very own soil, is simple magic. Congrats!

Wow, a tomato already! Our beans are blooming so it won't be long.

I think that this ripe tomato was a fluke. I have other green ones but not near ripening.

The first tomato of the season is always the best, even if it is small! Enjoy.
