How many of you broke an arm doing this? I didn't but my older sister did.
These were no longer in use when I started teaching 4th grade in the 90s.

Those projectors were used when I started teaching in 1970! We had to pass a class in college on how to thread the film through, run a slide projector, use and overhead projector, etc. Films were ordered for a week at a time, from the county, and shared by the rest of our science teachers.
Thanks for the memories ( I never broke an arm, mostly due to being a chicken and not happy to jump off a swing!)
I used the projector a lot in the 70s but less so in the 80s and beyond.

How about stepping on marbles! lol Yes, I grew up in the 50s and 60s and have all these fun memories. I still love playing outside!
I lived on a farm and when my playmate and I were maybe nine or so, we used to use the hay pulley from the hay loft to ride out to the end of the pole and have the other person pull us back in. Had my mother known, I would not be here to tell the tale.
I tried jumping from a wood seated swing, not very good because I wasn't far away and the darn swing hit my head.

Yes, I do remember all of these things. It was a big deal to watch a movie at school, even though the film or projector would often break. Good memories all (except stepping on jacks). Thanks for sharing. See you again soon!
