Blow Me Down Farm once the home of one Charles Beaman is now part of the St. Gaudens National Memorial Park here in my township. It's not been restored but occasionally a guided walk is offered. There was one on Saturday so we went taking granddaughter #2 who is entering 4th grade in a couple of weeks where she will be studying NH history.
Read about Beaman here.
House built by Beaman's son after original home burned down in 1926.
On the Connecticut River with stunning view of Mt. Ascutney.
Barn.
Inside the barn was the scale.
Our guide.
Opera North rents the land for the operas they put on each summer. Shows were done for the season when we toured. We haven't attended one of these for a couple of years but have enjoyed them in the past.
It was a hot day so we went for ice cream afterward.

I hope the money can be found to retire this property.
That is a really well-cared-for barn.
