Shadow

This time of year the early morning sun casts a shadow of our great room on the barn.  When the woodstove is going it even captures the smoke.

These photos were taken at 7:15 this morning.  Next week that will be 8:15! Daylight Savings Time comes too soon.

Here's a short video.

You can see we still have lots of snow.  Temperature this morning was -5º.  Next weekend we may see temperatures close to 60º.  Won't that be nice except for all the water from melting snow.

That's a great shadow shot of the chimney smoke and I enjoyed the video and the last photo. Here in Northern Virginia and from today at 36 deg. F. where we are expecting snow, we have 45, 60, 65, 64, 69 and 70, 76 and then 80 degrees. F. next Tuesday. I am shocked after all the snow and rain, but happy :)

That is so cool, Marcia! The shadow would make an interesting painting.

Nice video of the shadow of the chimney smoke! So interesting to see. I’m kind of jealous of your snow as it rarely snows here in Nara even when we are chilled to the bone. Today I'm experiencing a sharp, returning cold snap, but I sense the quiet approach of warmer days.

That is a classic "retirement" video, and the smoke is lovely. Please send some sun. Kansas is grumpy and gray. Linda
