Light from the West

Looking east with the sun lighting up this maple tree in our yard.

I don't think my iPhone camera does justice to the colors showing in this tree.

I even selected vivid but still it looks more muted than it does to my eye.  Is there another setting on the iPhone I need to select?

You could try lowering the contrast or just wait a bit until there is more color in the foliage, Marcia. We are still showing a lot of green here in Nashua.

We should start to get good colour next week. Sometimes phone cameras are great; at other times maybe not.

here in eastern NY we haven't much yet other than some yellows. North of me in the ADK there are some oranges and reds popping out in the southern and central part of the mountains. Your pic is pretty!!!

We have the opposite with blossom season about halfway through. Your tree is showing some lovely autumn colour.

The tree looks gorgeous to me; it's a lot more colour than we've got so far.
