That looks like a melon to me :) and your tomatoes are no longer deep green so they should be ripening very soon.

Jenny - thanks for responding. A melon? I hadn't thought of that but it doesn't resemble any melon that I know I have eaten. The seeds came from my compost for sure. And I hope you're right about the tomatoes.
The light color of it makes me think that the Patty Pan Squash (in the bottom right here) crossed with my pie pumpkin that I brought for Thanksgiving. Who knows!

I know that you know that the ph in the soil determines the color of Hydrangeas...so it is odd that you have a white bloom. This is puzzling.
