Milestone Missed

I passed 1000 blog posts and didn't even realize it.  This one becomes #1002.

I started blogging in July 2008.  Here's my very first post.

I was rather brief in my initial postings and had very few photos.  The learning curve was steep at first.

Here is a look back at some of those early posts.

[When I first posted this I didn't know how to increase the size of the photos.  I have rectified that and you can see what the perennial garden looked like 8 years ago.]

As we prepare to move from this house I'm going to devote most of my blogging from now until move day, June 27th, to a look back.

  2. Congratulations on achieving 1000 posts! I enjoyed looking back at your earlier posts and noticed the similarities with mine. Few photos and no comments! You are so right about the steep learning curve. It was wonderful to speak to you last week, maybe next time we will meet up. I returned home yesterday so am just trying to sort through the unpacking and catch up on the mail and emails. Best of luck with your forthcoming trip and move.

  3. Hello, Congrats on the 1002 posts. Your place is lovely, pretty garden. The new owners will be very happy there.

    Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day!

  4. Congratulations, Marcia! Can you believe that you have reached 1,002 posts? It's lovely that you have documented your home, garden, treasures, and adventures here. Looking back will feel good at this time... and always! You have created a 'scrapbook' here that will be with you forever! (You don't even have to pack it!) Wishing you continued blessings as you head closer to the Big Move! ♡Dawn@Petals.Paper.SimpleThymes

  5. Hi My Friend, Congrats on your milestone... I started blogging in June of 2006... Hard to believe that I've been blogging that long. Things have changed in the blogging world. Most people are doing memes (which I don't do) these days ---and not talking about their lives/travels/home/family/personal stuff (which is what I love)... Guess that's one reason I don't blog as much anymore.

I am so happy for you and your move --but you must have some sadness also since you are leaving such a fantastic place/home/yard...

    Hugs to you,
    Betsy
