Scenes from the Harvest

Thursday

Saturday

Tomato production has slowed.  Cucumber production has returned after a lull.  Zucchini is at its end. Peppers are there to be picked when I need them. Basil is bountiful.

See what other gardeners have harvested by visiting Daphne's Dandelions.

It's time to pull the zucchini and tomato plants that have stopped producing.  Past time to plant some fall crops.

  1. Nice harvest. I have basil coming out my ears and can't find anyone that wants some. I do need to get some in the freezer but now were near the amount that I have.

  2. lovely cukes and tomatoes! I make loads of pesto with my basil; if I have more than I can eat right away I pack tight into little widemouth jelly jars, the tiny 4 oz ones, cover with olive oil and put in the freezer. But so far this year I've been eating it on everything, especially tomato salad!

  3. You have done well this year, Marcia... All of those fresh veggies look so delicious... I know that you all have really enjoyed them... We are paying the big bucks for some fresh veggies....

Hope you had a good week. We enjoyed our trip to Arkansas --even though it was very hot and dry.
    Hugs,
    Betsy
