Postcard from Ste. Flavie, Quebec, Canada

Stopping for two nights here we were introduced to the armless statues of Marcel Gagnon. They are each individuals and distinctive.

Enjoy!

When the tide falls on the Gulf of St Lawrence the figures appear.

Ste.  Flavie is on the Gaspe Peninsula.

  1. Are you being accepted well enough in Canada. Quebec is different, so how are you faring with the language?

  2. I usually like sculptures, but for some reason, these make me
    very sad.

  4. Very interesting sculptures--and just a bit phallic perhaps.

  5. These statues are unique and maybe we will see them on a future road trip as we have never been to this part of Canada.
