What's Been Happening Here in August

What have I been doing during my hiatus from blogging?

Besides constantly refilling the hummingbird feeder, the first week was getting ready for family vacation at Schroon Lake, NY.  Below was the AirBnB we rented.

Schroon Lake is a gorgeous spot on the east side of the Adirondack Mountains.

Our week long stay had a mixture of days: sun, then rain, then sun, then more rain.

The lake rose with all the rain.

The small sand beach below disappeared by the end of the week.

Granddaughter #4 enjoyed the water but more especially the sand.

Granddaughter #1 swam, used the paddle board, kayaks and canoe.

I always buy matching outfits for the four granddaughters and granddaughter #2 is modeling one of the outfits, though her shirt needs tucking in.

Once the week away was spent, we brought granddaughter #3 home with us. With her cousins close by she had a grand time away from home.  Every evening she FaceTimed with Mom and Dad before bed.  It wasn't until Wednesday the day before parents and sister were to come that she expressed how much she missed them.

The fair then occupied us all for the weekend.

It was good having family all together.

Now my time is occupied with preparing for travel to Spain in September so I'll return you to the daily laugh for the rest of the month.
