A Wednesday Walk

I joined the walking group last Wednesday for a walk in Windsor, VT at Paradise Park. There was no rain that day but the trail next to the lake was muddy in parts.  As I said yesterday with all our rain plants are looking lush.

An assortment of leaf shapes in this photo along with a few blackberries forming.

At one end of the lake the water lilies make a cover.

A delicate flower on a climber, maybe morning glory?

Sweet peas

And these were named for me as Canadian lilies.

Here's the final narrow path that took as to an access point and a street where we found the cafe Boston Dreams - a spot for a hot or cold drink and conversation before returning by Main Street to our cars.

Another walk planned for this Wednesday will keep us on a road.  Trails are too slick.

  3. Looks like a nice walk, Marcia, and hope there were no soggy trails with all the recent rains.

To answer your question on y blog post about how Frosty's owners can survive with only being open weekends in Brunswick, ME, there are a couple of other locations in the state and also a production facility opened in 2023 as the product is also delivered to retail locations. I updated the blog to include this info, so thanks for the question.

  4. Very interesting flowers I have never seen them before. The ground is so saturated now best to stay on pavement.

  7. I love the tapestry of leaves. And the Canada lilies are a treat--we don't see them here.
