And We are Hot too

Like much of the country it is hot here too.  It's predicted to get to the 90ºs today.

If we were still in Maryland it would be no big deal - just stay inside in the AC.

Here in NH we have no AC, only fans.  The upstairs gets quite hot despite the fans.

Last night we slept in the guest room on the first floor with two of the three windows open, the fan upstairs pulling the cooler night air in and a fan at one window sending the cooler air over us.

I had a hard time going to sleep but eventually did.

Granddaughters coming over shortly while daughter goes to work then to pick up our CSA share.

It will be a day of inside activities for the most part.

  2. 97 today and 99 tomorrow. We aren't set up for those kind of temperatures in WA. I had a heat pump put in this summer and it was good timing.

  3. Temperatures are bad in Europe. 48 C (120 F) in Italy yesterday and similar in Spain. Fortunately nowhere near those temps in UK. Hope it cools down for you soon xx

  4. A miserly 22C here, which translates as the low 70s F, plenty warm enough for me though some sunshine would be nice. I hope it cools down a bit for you soon.

  5. We’re certainly steaming up here this week. We are not opening windows even at night.

  6. While it's also hot in Nashua, NH, we do have the benefit of a/c in the mill apt and it's been in constant use the past 2 days. We do miss having the windows open at night, but that will have to wait until this heat wave ends.

  7. We could do with a little of that heat over here - some days have been positively chilly considering it's August. Hovering around 70 and often cloudy with windy days too.
Although we would soon be moaning if it got too hot!

  8. I hope we all get some cooler temps soon! Even more, I hope the mosquito plane gets to our neighborhood soon. They are even more unbearable than the heat!
