Back to Crafting

With the return of cooler weather I can get back into crafting cards in my craft room/loft.

The stairs I take look more like a ladder with alternating steps.  I'm used to them now, but first time users find them awkward.
My loft sits above the mechanical room and is heated by the boiler, so in the summer time it's just too warm to work up there.

In the winter time it's quite cozy and I enjoy reading in my grandmother's wicker chair.

I try to keep it all organized.

It was a rainy, gloomy day on Wednesday so I spent the morning replenishing my supply of birthday cards using paper scraps that had accumulated on my desk up there.  It's almost clean now.

Most of these cards are a similar design, but it felt good to use up the scraps and not start in on new sheets of paper.

How do you spend a rainy day?

  2. Sounds like a perfect Rainy Day project... We've had rain recently also---and those are the days I get some computer work done, such as blogging... I just don't have much time these days (now that we are walking over 10,000 steps each day) to blog --and keep up with my blog friends... I will never give up blogging --but certainly don't spend as much time on the computer as I used to. I also love to work on Genealogy --but haven't had time for that recently either. I usually do that during the winter when there's not much yard work to do.

About saying farewell to bloggers, I've lost many friends through the years... Most of them are now on Facebook (which I also love) since it is so much more current and so much easier and faster...

    Love your cards.

    Hugs,
    Betsy

  6. Your handmade cards are just lovely, Marcia!! It's such fun to peek into your craft loft. The natural light is so wonderful! I love to spend rainy days in my paper crafting studio in our basement. I don't have as much natural light, so I use plenty of daylight bulbs. It feels so sunny when I'm making cards! Wishing you a very happy World Cardmaking Day on Saturday! ♡Dawn@Petals.Paper.SimpleThymes
