August Vacation Trip (1 of 4)

Wellsboro, PA - Small Town America!

We rented this house for the week.  It was perfect for the 7 of us including an 18 month old.

All around us were other single family homes.  I took this photo for the cloud formation.  My son-in-law called it a cloud rainbow.

We enjoyed the porch.

Including the swing.

We were a short walk to the Main Street and town green.

The center of the green was this fountain featuring Winken, Blinken and Nod.

Wellsboro is the county seat for Tioga County.

Unlike many small towns this one had a thriving downtown.  Our landlord owns this business along Main Street.  There were a variety of shops, restaurants and even a department store.

Here's Sarah playing one of the many pianos along Main Street.

Stay tuned for more of what we did while staying there.

  2. Love the idea of pianos along the street. What a fun idea. Perfect place for a relaxing holiday with grandma there to babysit. Just perfect.
