Children enjoy the springs on the outside not unlike how George would have done it.
The Berkley Springs State Park has a bath house and offers massages, too.
The Roman bath house is on the first floor of the building above. We bathed in another building.
We partook of it all and it was well worth it. We came out of there ready to just sit and relax which is what we did on the verandah of the lodge at Cacapon State Park where we stayed overnight.
View from the verandah.
My friends relaxing.
The next day we did some shopping before heading for home. One of our stops was at the Artists of Merrywood. I'd seen the rock sculptures in the yard as we headed west to the lodge so on our return trip to town I suggested the stop. Fortunately the owners Bill & Lori were just coming out to their car and delayed their departure so we could view their work.
This was one of many sculptures. My friend, Janice was considering it so I took the photo to send to her later. Can you see the bird on top?
I came home with a sculpture. And I found the perfect spot for it where I can view it as I sit at the dining room table.
The heart is attached with epoxy. I forgot to ask how it will do in the winter. To be on the safe side I'll put it away with the other garden art come winter time.
