    1. It was really good. We had half of it in a salad last night.

  2. Pesto, pesto, pesto. I also process it with a little water and then freeze in cubes to pop into recipes during the winter.
    That is one healthy cucumber!

  3. That cucumber sure is a prize winner. I have given about 3 pounds of basil away. I really need to get some in the freezer for myself soon.

    1. I've given it away too but I will have to make pesto and freeze more of it.

  4. I know that real foodies say it's a no no, but I love basil dried.

  5. That is one long cucumber... Does it taste as good when it gets THAT big? I usually buy the small (pickling-type) cucumbers... They taste so much better than the big fat ones to me... I like their crispness...

    Great harvest, Marcia.

    1. It is one good cucumber. Doesn't look like I'll be getting anymore like that since the plants are dying now.

    1. I don't have pine nuts but I imagine walnuts will do.

  7. I also pick my tomatoes before they are fully ripe! It saves them from the bugs and squirrels.
