Non-Harvest Monday

No harvest for me yet but drop by Daphne's Dandelions to see what other gardeners harvested last week.

Here's what growing in my garden.

Lettuce mix.

Bib lettuce.

Spinach.

Snow peas. Now I did plant these under the soil. How did they pop up to the surface?

The protective covering for the peas to keep the turkeys from eating the peas.

Onions.

More onions.

Garlic.

Spinach.

This is the pile of mulch I need to move.

Anyone recognize this? Weed or not? I'm reminded of petunias. I don't think it's forget me not. It's all over the yard and garden.

  1. I've had my peas do that to me in the past. Not always, but occasionally. I've even had squash seeds walk out of the soil when I've started them inside.

  2. Your spinach looks great! And your onions, too. We have a hard time growing onions here - don't know why. My lettuce is a little bigger, but not quite ready for harvesting. I love fresh lettuce from the garden!

  3. I think you have some purslane...I could be wrong, but that's what it looks like to me.

Your seedlings look great. You'll have a great looking harvest soon.

  4. Your garden is really coming along! You will have a harvest before you know it.

My peas seem to do that a lot. I really wish the peas that I planted would pop through the soil...maybe in the next day or two.

  5. Things are sure looking good. Peas seem to do that especially if you get any rain right after they have been planted. I like you idea of Monday Harvest. Well since it just changed from rain to snow here guess I won't be harvesting for a while.
