Season Change

We have a shelf outside our apartment door.  Rather than leave the same thing up all the time I've opted to try to change it seasonally.

So yesterday the house blessing that my Mom painted years ago came down in favor of a wreath I made 42 years ago.

The pumpkins and turkey are put away for next year.

The partridge in a pear tree wreath I made the first year of our marriage looks nice there.

I downsized my Christmas decorations considerably when we moved.  I have two bins only now.  I'll be decorating for Christmas this week including the new pencil Christmas tree I bought in October.

Happy Holidays!

I apparently uncluttered enough about 1-2 years ago, that I was able to do all the decorating in only 1 day, instead of taking two. So nice!

That wreath is so cute. But I love your Mom's painting, at least from what I could see from zooming in on it, ha. We downsized Christmas decor as well. But still have some in storage I need to go through one of these days. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!!!

Love that wreath you made. Very original. A new display for each season, reminds me of school and decorating the classroom for each half term.

Love watching the seasons change on your pretty shelf, Marcia! It's a wonderful way for all of the neighbors to get to know one another's hobbies and interests, too! Each time we visit my aunt, I love to walk through the hallways to see the interesting things on the shelves by each apartment door! Lots of wonderful conversation starters! Can't wait to see your Christmas tree! ♡
