Welcome reader to my blog - a mixture of this and that. Now that we are living in a retirement community in downtown Columbia, MD my personal gardening activities are somewhat curtailed. I still enjoy visiting gardens, reading, watching wildlife on my walks, traveling, and occasional food commentary. Please leave a comment if you feel inspired to do so. I read every one of them.

Bird Watching Continues

I can't help but watch the birds.  They have always intrigued me.
My earliest memory of birdwatching is in grade school.  My brother and I would watch out a window as we had breakfast.  We kept track of the ones we saw and my love of birdwatching had its start.  I don't keep a list as I did back then but if I see an unusual one I look it up.

The cardinals are paired up around here now.  I captured this pair out the window enjoying the buffet of tulip poplar seeds.

Hello Marcia, sweet shots of your Cardinals. I love watching the birds, I used to watch the birds and squirrels at my grandmothers house when I was young. Thank you so much for linking up and sharing your post. Have a happy weekend!

Cardinals are real stunners! Glad you found the food in the picture. I actually found a packet of biscuits on the shelf about an hour after I had packed up - so much for paying attention.

Cheers - Stewart M - Melbourne

You are a lifetime birder! Beautiful pair of cardinals...that one looks like it is eating the wood shavings.
