Welcome reader to my blog - a mixture of this and that. Now that we are living in a retirement community in downtown Columbia, MD my personal gardening activities are somewhat curtailed. I still enjoy visiting gardens, reading, watching wildlife on my walks, traveling, and occasional food commentary. Please leave a comment if you feel inspired to do so. I read every one of them.

Gorgeous, Marcia. We don't have many Butterflies here. Don't know why--but we do have lots of bees.... The bees love the Roses... You'd think with the amount of flowers we have that we'd have butterflies... But--I seldom see any ---anywhere in our area... Weird, huh?

Glad you have lots of Butterflies.
Hugs,
Betsy

Wonderful flowers and butterflies.

The bower is actually an area built by the male in which it tries to impress the females. I hope to find some bowers of a different species in a couple of months - I will post then if and when I find them.
