Welcome reader to my blog - a mixture of this and that. Now that we are living in a retirement community in downtown Columbia, MD my personal gardening activities are somewhat curtailed. I still enjoy visiting gardens, reading, watching wildlife on my walks, traveling, and occasional food commentary. Please leave a comment if you feel inspired to do so. I read every one of them.

You are certainly surrounded with wonderful birds ... are they all near your home? You pictures are wonderful. I particularly like the Osprey, as I am a raptor person. Also, it is hard to get such good close ups of them. Great contribution to WBW ...

I do have lots of birds here in Baltimore County, MD but these photos were taken on our vacation to Thousand Islands. There were lots of osprey nests on top of telephone poles and we did see them flying just couldn't catch them on the camera.

I do love the ospreys - they are a real world bird; so many people can see them and yet most have not!
