Harvest Monday

Last of the tomatoes and peppers were harvested this week.  Temps are too cool and sun is lower so they won't ripen on the vine.

Mesculun, bok choy and spinach are up.

Cucumbers are still flowering and trying to develop.  I did pick two mid week.

See that cucumber tendril?  You'll have to watch this video from Science Friday about how it spirals.  It's fascinating!

Saturday I had a package in the mail.  My garlic order from Fedco.  They had to substitute Russian Red for German Red, but that's okay.  Now I need to think about which bed to plant it in for the winter.

Check out other harvests at Daphne's Dandelions.

Your new greens look so good! Almost like spring. Nice peppers too, it's been a great year for them hasn't it?

Nice harvest. I haven't tried "music" garlic but I did get german porcelain delivered last week so I'll be planting it shortly. And i have a bulb that I grew and saved for seed so that should be enough for what I want to grow next year.

It was a good year, especially the jalapeños.

These are both new types for me. I'll have to see if I have to use any that I harvested this year to fill out a bed after planting these first.

Great looking garlic bulbs. Hope they do well for you. Mine arrived last week but certainly won't plant them until it dries out some here. Not sure where I am going to plant them either.

your fall crops look like they are off to a good start. I wasn't able to get the Music garlic, got Italian purple and lots of Elephant instead.
