Update

Power was restored to our house and the others on our lane this morning at 9 am.  The crews making the repairs came from Toronto, Canada!  I thanked them profusely.

I'm writing this from the library because the internet & cable are still down.  No word on those repairs.  Our land line phone also has major static issues but hopefully Verizon can fix that when they come tomorrow.

I'll be heading home after my haircut appointment and will fill the rest of the day doing laundry.

Our thoughts on the West coast have been with all the people who are experiencing no power! We are so dependent on electricity and I cannot imagine how extreme the impacts are over a long period of time. So happy for you that life is gradually being restored to you.

Glad everything was finally fixed. Those storms missed us and went just south of us.

So glad you finally have power... We get used to those things --and it's hard to lose it... I'd go crazy without my AC in this heat and without my internet/phone, etc...

That was one wicked storm, wasn't it? Stay safe and stay cool.
Hugs,
Betsy

Oh, so glad you finally got power! I know you were so very thankful. I had read that there were crews coming from far away, such as Oklahoma, and from Canada. How nice that everyone works together like that. I hope everything is back to normal soon for you. It's amazing how much we rely on modern conveniences!
