Harvest Monday

75 white onions of varying sizes.

One of several cucumbers we have harvested this past week.

One of many beets we have had. This one will go into juice this morning that Dan will make.

Garlic harvest drying in the heat of the garage.

Promise of future harvests: flower on the eggplant and

small sprouts on the Brussels sprouts.

See other harvests this Monday at Daphne's Dandelions.

Boy, I certainly wish my onions would hurry up! The summer crops are on their way :)

so that's what a brussel sprout plant looks like when it puts on it's little sprouts. I am still waiting for mine to do something. I wasn't sure if the heat had stopped it from producing.

Looks great! I tried beets last year, but nothing happened. Brussel sprouts too. Someone told me there was nothing like a fresh brussel sprout. Yours looks really nice.

Fresh beet juice - very refreshing on a hot day!
I think that my onions and garlic will be ready to harvest in fall.

I can't wait to pull up my garlic. It will happen sometime this week whether it is ready or not (since we might close on the old house soon and I want the harvest). Your garlic looks great.

Wow, so many onions and garlic! I am always so envious of these bountiful harvests. Do you grow your onions from sets or plants?
